Once again, Senator Manny Pacquiao showed his kindness and generosity especially to the poor and needy. This time, the boxer-turned-politician gave a house and lot, money, and a new job to a lucky ice cream vendor named Marciano in General Santos City. The heartwarming scene happened last Sunday, May 27. Watch the video below.
“A heartwarming afternoon today. surely, Sen. Manny Pacquiao is such a good and humble man. While MP waiting inside his car, I called Manong ice cream as he passed by to buy ice cream. Sobrang init kanina. and I realized it was manong na lagi ko binibilhan pag npapadaan sa building kung san ako nagtatrabaho.” A certain Jen Manilay wrote on Facebook, as caption to the video.
Manilay said bought 10pcs of ice cream and gave one to Sen. Pacquiao, who later told her to call the ice cream vendor. As expected, Mang Marciano was shocked to see the senator. At first, Pacquiao gave him P3,000. He later gave him P30,000 when he learned that the latter has children who have not yet enrolled yet for this school year.
But that’s not all; Sen. Pacquiao asked Mang Marciano where he lives. When the latter said he’s only renting a small house, he told him that he will give him a house and lot next week. The ice cream vendor was also told that he will have a new job at Goldenstate College, also in Gen. Santos City. Mang Marciano then got teary-eyed.
“Si manong parang nananaginip at mangiyak ngiyak sa pasasalamat. Today is surely a blessing. May pambili na ng gamot c Manong. Hindi narin mhihirapan mgtinda ng ice cream in a very sunny afternoon dahil binigyan nrin namin si Manong ng trabaho sa Goldenstate. See you again next week, Manong Marciano… at sa bago mong bahay at lupa.” She added.
