Kris Aquino on Tuesday, February 27 invited former Davao City vice mayor Paolo “Pulong” Duterte to have coffee or drink beer with her. This was apparently the response of the former presidential daughter to the presidential son after the latter mentioned her name on his Facebook post. Below is her post on social media.
“This is a message to #PaoloDuterte, you mentioned me in your post by name & I feel it is only proper to reply. May I invite you to have coffee or we can have a San Mig if that is your preference, hindi ako ‘mag da-drama’ pag nagkaharap na tayo,” Kris Aquino tweeted as an attempt to settle their differences, as a caption to a short video clip.
The video clip showed a quote about “annoyingly positive and optimistic than destructively hateful and negative,” and the photo of two Time Magazine covers apparently showing the difference of her mother, the late President Corazon “Cory” Aquino and Pulong’s father, President Rodrigo Duterte.
Several hours earlier, Kris Aquino posted on her Instagram account almost the same message but a longer one, as a caption of the same video clip. There, she said that she does not know how to play PS4m contrary to what Paolo Duterte said and that she believes that everything could be worked out through a face-to-face dialogue.
“May I invite you to have coffee (i endorse Nespresso) or we can have a San Mig (i’ve endorsed them too & I’m cool w/ the lemon flavored) if that is your preference… you have my word hindi ako “mag da-drama” pag nagkaharap na tayo… To the best of my knowledge we have never actually met or been personally introduced.” Kris wrote.
“I have no agenda other than the desire for you to personally get to know me & vice versa… Too much bad blood has already been manufactured between our families… We have the chance to hear each other out….Kung tanggihan mo ko, Paolo- I shall respect that…I shall await your decision & pray that my effort won’t be snubbed.” She added.
“Oo nga no….sorry krissy ha wag magdrama….laro nalang PS4…#eatshitanddie” Paolo Duterte post on Facebook last February 20, as a caption to a photo of Cory Aquino, with the quote, “The commemoration of EDSA is a reminder of a broken promise 30 years since (2 Aquinos and the corruption that prevailed) #galawdilaw”
