A Facebook post by a young woman claiming to be a paid protester against President Rodrigo Duterte has taken the social media by storm before it was taken down on Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier on Tuesday, Facebook user Lily Lopez shared a screenshot of another Facebook user who complained of not getting paid after she and two of her friends went to PICC to join other groups who protested against the ASEAN Summit.
Hundreds of people went to the site to protest, especially against American president Donald Trump who attended the conference despite a non-ASEAN member.
In her Facebook post that was shared more than 2,500 times and commented more than 1,000 times (mostly negative), Maricel Peralta aired her anger towards Liberal party organizers who failed to pay them.
Bwisit…!
Another woman from the group commented that she actually received the money but instead of P6k, she only got P800.
The post was bombarded with negative comments prompting Facebook to take it down including the poster’s account due to extreme profanity.
Rally organizers including Renato Reyes, who reportedly lost his wallet, did not comment as of press time. /Lanie Espinosa/
