Employees of a towing service are facing robbery-extortion and car theft raps after they reportedly towed a motorcycle owned by a brother of PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.
According to a report by Cesar Apolinario on Saksi, the suspects towed the motorcycle even if it was parked properly and was not being an obstruction on a public road.
The motorcycle is reportedly owned by Winky Dela Rosa, a brother of the PNP chief’s and an official of Barangay Batasan Hills.
The report said Winky is seriously considering filing cases against the perpetrators.
More than a dozen motorists along EDSA daily are complaining against illegal towing, but complaints against these towing companies are always falling into deaf ears.
Three adult people were arrested including a minor who was immediately turned-over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
It was not clear what towing company was involved, but the people who were arrested were legit employees of the said company. /Joy Valle/
