Matobato Voluntarily Left the Alleged Trillanes’ Safe House

Self-confessed alleged hitman Edgar Matobato has reportedly left the Antipolo City safe house allegedly provided by the office of Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, a neighbor’s gardener who refused to be identified told senate reporters on Wednesday.

According to the neighbor, Matobato stayed in the house since November last year and seldom go outside.

The house was guarded until the end of February 2017, the source said.

Matobato was seen leaving the house on Wednesday afternoon at around 3:30 PM with luggage wearing maong jacket and a bull cap, the source noted.

One of the utilities who maintained the subdivision also told reporters that Matobato took a jeepney after leaving the subdivision’s main gate.

The whereabouts of Matobato is not determined as of press time, but the people who witnessed his departure believed that he voluntarily left as there was no other person inside the house when he went outside, and no vehicle fetched the alleged hitman.

It was also unclear if Trillanes is already aware about Matobato’s sudden departure.
