Communist leader Jose Maria Sison has released a series of strong words to Filipino celebrities who are making at least P1M a year, or at least P83,000 a month, to pay revolutionary tax or else suffer consequences.
The announcement came after Russia threatens to reveal the CPP/NPA/NDF source of income to the Philippine government.
Sison, who has been in exile in The Netherlands for decades, commanded his Philippine comrades over a video conference on Monday, to collect revolutionary tax from PBA players, and celebrities who are “making money in easy way”.
“You must tell them to pay their share to the movement. They are making lots of money by just entertaining people, while our comrades are continuously fighting with the government. They must pay or else make them suffer”, Sison told his comrades.
The communist group has been collecting and extorting money from businessmen all over the country. This is the firt time that the terrorist group ask money from private people, especially from celebrities “who have nothing to do with communism”.
On January 2017, Sison also said he may order NPA to collect the same revolutionary tax from Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), but the plan was not carried out, after several OFWs from The Netherlands threatened to slaughter him alive if he continue with the plan.
Sison is reportedly ill and his doctor earlier said he could live until his death. /Joey Sapanta/
