Joma Sison, NPA Demands Tax from OFWs

The founder of National Democratic Front (NDF), Jose Maria “Joma” Sison released a memorandum to the members of New People’s Army (NPA) to collect taxes from OFWs.

The order is the latest among Sison’s extortion activities carried out by the terrorist NPA.

In his letter to __ , Sison said that Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) should pay revolutionary taxes to NPA, especially those who are working in Europe.

Sison also ordered NPA to burn or destroy the houses of OFWs who refuse to pay the revolutionary taxes.

The Philippine government believes that the NPA is losing financially after the military declared an all-out war against the local terrorists.

In his letter, Sison ordered his terrorist group to press rural businessmen, and even employed professionals who receive more than P20,000 per month.

NPA members last week burned heavy equipment owned by private company in a quarry in Davao.

Sison also ordered burning of rice and sugarcane fields in Negros Occidental if the owner refuse to pay taxes./Charlie Porcel/
