Hontiveros Criticizes Duterte Over Revolutionary Tax Demand

Activist Senator Risa Hontiveros on Tuesday criticize the Duterte government for demanding CPP-NPA to stop collecting revolutionary tax.

Hontiveros reacted hours after presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella said the CPP and its political arm, the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP), must stop collecting revolutionary tax.

“The President’s demand for the New people’s Army to stop collecting revolutionary tax is baseless. E ppano mabubuhay ang mga yan kung walang kakainin”, the senator said during a radio interview.
